Disco Star – the grand finale of season 9 is behind us!

The finale of the 9th season of the Disco Star programme attracted dance music fans from all over Poland in front of their TV sets. The eighth episode was the culmination of many weeks of competition, during which the contestants fought for the title of the new disco polo star and the main prize.

On Sunday 22 February, viewers witnessed the finale of Disco Star. The final episode of the programme began in true concert style. Artists well known to fans of dance music appeared on stage, including the bands MIG, Defis, Łobuzy, Topky, Weekend, DiscoBoys and the duo Sławomir and Kajra. Together, the artists performed the song ‘This world belongs to us’, which became the anthem of the Roztańczony PGE Narodowy 2026 concert.

The spectacular setting, lighting effects and dynamic choreography made the final of the programme have the momentum of a real music festival.

Disco Star 9 finalists – who fought for victory?

Nine contestants advanced to the decisive episode: Anna “Ania Amy” Woźnica, Karolina “Zolie” Żółkiewska, Daria “Negra” Budka, Sylwia Strug, Łukasz “Dragan” Paczkowski, Alexa & Fonzy, XOXO, B-TWIN and the President.

Each of the finalists presented their own repertoire, as well as special performances with disco polo stars. The audience was able to see energetic duets and spectacular shows which highlighted the diversity of styles within dance music.

Particularly exciting was the performance of Daria “Negra” Budka, who impressed with both her stage charisma and self-confidence. Her interpretations were met with an enthusiastic response from the audience.

After all the performances, it was time for the most important moment of the evening. The final classification of the final was as follows:

1. place – President
1. place – Alexa & Fonzy
1. place – Daria “Negra” Budka

It was Daria Negra Budka who won the most support and took the title of the winner of the 9th edition of Disco Star. The triumphant winner received 50 thousand zlotys and the opportunity to perform at one of the concerts organised by Polsat – which could mean a real career breakthrough for the young artist.
