Empik’s Bestsellers awarded! In the music category, the statuettes went to stars such as sanah and KęKę, while in literature the triumph went to, among others, Andrzej Sapkowski. There were also plenty of surprises, including a new literary discovery – Jul Lyskawa. The event, hosted by Marcin Prokop, attracted the attention of the media and culture fans, as it does every year.

Most popular books of the year – fiction and non-fiction

Among the winners of the Empik Bestsellers 2024 in the fiction category was Valérie Perrin with her book Forgotten Sundays. Among popular literature, however, the triumph was The Witcher. Crossroads of the Raven by Andrzej Sapkowski. This is yet another confirmation of the immense popularity of the prose of the Polish fantasy master, whose works are invariably among the best-selling books in the country.

Musical triumphs – Sanah and KęKę at the top

The Empik Bestseller Gala was also a celebration of music. In the pop and rock category, the statuette was won by sanah for her album Caprices, consolidating her position as one of the most important artists on the Polish music scene. In the rap and hip-hop category, the award went to KęKę for his album 04:01, which conquered the sales and streaming charts.

Empik’s Bestsellers – Film hits

The films appreciated by Empik included both foreign hits, such as W głowie się nie mieści 2, and Polish productions. In the Polish cinema category, the award went to Listy do M. Farewells and Returns, which won the hearts of the audience with its touching and funny story.

Audio productions and discoveries of the year

Empik also recognised the rapidly growing audio production market. In this category, the award went to Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak’s Yellow. The discoveries of the year, on the other hand, included Jul Lyskawa for his book The True Story of Jeffrey Waters and His Fathers, whose original narrative and moving subject matter secured the author an award.

Fashion and emotion at the gala – did Roxana Węgiel show too much?

The Empik Bestsellers Gala was not only about awards, but also artistic performances and unforgettable creations of stars. Roksana Węgiel stood out among them, drawing attention with her daring body-revealing styling and energetic performance. Her interpretation of Falochrony evoked mixed reactions – from admiration to criticism from internet users, who compared her performance to the original version recorded with Mata.
