The Eurovision 2025 final is fast approaching, but in recent days there have been reports in the media about an alleged change in the channel on which the event would be broadcast. According to initial speculation, this year's contest would move from TVP1 to TVP2. This information caused a big stir among Eurovision fans, but the public broadcaster was quick to speak out on the matter.

Where will you be able to watch Eurovision 2025?

Since the first broadcast in Poland, the Eurovision Song Contest has invariably been shown on TVP1. However, when the Polish preselections were held on TVP2, speculation spread online that the semi-finals and grand final would also be moved to this channel. The rumours were fuelled by a photo published on social media, which suggested a change in the transmission channel. In response to numerous enquiries, the TVP press office issued an official statement:

Eurovision 2025 will be broadcast on TVP1, we will inform about the details of the transmission on other Polish Television channels in the near future.

All indications are that this year’s final will remain on the main channel of Polish Television, thus dispelling the earlier uncertainties.

Basel final already in May

The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland. The semi-finals are scheduled for 13 and 15 May, and the grand final will take place on 17 May 2025. Poland already has a representative, and Justyna Steczkowska, who is returning to the Eurovision stage after thirty years, will fight for victory in the contest.

Pre-selection full of emotions – results of the viewers’ vote

The Polish pre-selection took place on 14 February, with eleven artists taking part. After an exciting competition, the winner was Justyna Steczkowska. TVP revealed that viewers sent as many as 80,284 SMS messages during the final of the pre-selection – almost twice as many as in 2023 (45.4 thousand).

This is almost twice as many votes as in 2023, which proves the huge interest in this year’s edition of this extraordinary show – reported Telewizja Polska.

Justyna Steczkowska at Eurovision again!

For Justyna Steczkowska, this is her second Eurovision adventure. In 1995, she represented Poland with the song “Sama” and took eighteenth place. This year, she will stand on the Eurovision stage again, this time with her song “Gaja”.
