The 62nd National Festival of Polish Song in Opole ended with the jubilee concert "Jacek Cygan's Three Quarters", during which the greatest Polish artists performed. The audience gave them a standing ovation, and the evening was full of emotion and musical elation.

Opole Festival 2025: Jacek Cygan thanked the artists

The four-day Opole Festival came to an end on 15 June. Jacek Cygan celebrated his artistic birthday directly on the festival stage. During the concert, he publicly thanked his songs, composers and interpreters, and – despite his absence – included thanks to Ryszard Rynkowski. His work inspired crowds, and the artists he worked with – such as Edyta Górniak and Ralph Kaminski – paid tribute to his unforgettable lyrics.

Edyta Górniak and a touching farewell to Opole

On 15 June 2025, Edyta Górniak, accompanied by Jacek Cygan and an orchestra, performed her cult hit ‘To nie ja’ on the Opole stage for the last time. With tears in her eyes, she thanked the audience:

This was my farewell to my city, to this stage that I kiss… I take all these magical moments for life…

A few hours earlier, the artist officially announced that this was her last performance in Opole – a decision that moved her fans.

Opole Festival 2025: Ralph Kaminski thrilled the audience

Ralph Kaminski performed during the same concert, performing the song ‘Jaka róża taki cierń’. His performance was enthusiastically received by the audience, who were delighted with the artistic form of his reference to the tradition of the Opole stage.

Ryszard Rynkowski – accident instead of stage

Ryszard Rynkowski suffered a minor car accident on his way to Opole, near Brodnica. Driving a car, in difficult weather conditions, he lost control of the vehicle and hit another car. He suffered slight head injuries – the manager confirmed that he had fractures and stitches on his forehead, but his life is not in danger. From the stage, Gypsy told the audience about the incident and asked everyone to pay tribute to Rynkowski with the words ‘Thank-you-je-my’ for his contribution to Polish music. Although Ryszard did not perform, he watched the concert remotely. His absence was felt as the artist was scheduled to sing two Gypsy songs: “Let’s drink to the mistakes” and “Rysiek’s Zwierzenia”.
