The 2023 Telekamera Awards recently took place, where Katarzyna Cichopek and Maciej Kurzajewski were honoured in one of the categories. However, the audience was taken aback as soon as Katarzyna appeared on stage to receive the award. She then addressed a few words to her partner.

Telekamery 2023 – the awarding of one of the most prestigious television awards in the country – is over. This time, the statuettes were presented in nine categories, including for actor, actress, juror or entertainment programme. Among the winners were Wojciech Bojanowski, Agata Załęcka, as well as Katarzyna Cichopek and Maciej Kurzajewski, who won an honourable mention in the category `presenter/host of the show’.

After Katarzyna Cichopek and Maciej Kurzajewski were announced as winners, the room thundered with applause. The actress stepped on stage to accept the award. However, she did not have Maciej by her side, and she seized the moment to say a few words on their behalf.

Maciej already has four Telekameras to his credit. I thought that was the end of the story, but here is a nice surprise,” she began exultantly.

She suggested that the reason for Kurzajewski’s absence was his work, where he was hosting another event. On stage, Cichopek revealed that Maciej was absent because he had to host another event at the time. Nevertheless, she expressed her hope that he would join her before the ceremony ended.

‘He’s a fantastic host and he’s hosting tonight too, but at a different event. I hope he will be able to join us a little later,” she said from the stage.

During the rest of her speech, she thanked them for the support and affection they received from the audience and the jury, which enabled them to win this prestigious award. What’s more, Katherine kept her promise and Maciej appeared at the ceremony. Backstage, Cichopek and Kurzajewski took some photos as a souvenir. Katarzyna also made good contact with another winner, Wojciech Bojanowski. When Maciej arrived at the venue, they spent a moment chatting with Dariusz Szpakowski.
