Janusz Kowalski surprises with a dance performance on television

In the programme Youth Questions broadcast on wPolska24, Janusz Kowalski entered the studio to the rhythm of the song “The Power” by the band Snap! After greeting the audience, the politician presented an energetic dance, which was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Programme host Marta Kielczyk commented: “That surprised us!”.

A return to youthful passions

After the show, Kowalski admitted that dancing has been close to him since his youth.

I remember, I was a teenager, it was on the Dambonia estate in Opole that I actually learned hip-hop. Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer – they were my favourite performers – the MP recalled.

He also added that this was the first time in a decade that he had decided to dance live, referring to an earlier injury: “The last time I danced, I tore my Achilles tendon.”

Mr Kowalski’s performance quickly became the subject of numerous publications. The Fakt portal compared his dancing to John Travolta’s display in Saturday Night Fever, highlighting the politician’s energy and commitment. Internet users were not indifferent either, commenting with appreciation on his sense of rhythm and his courage in presenting the less formal side of his personality.
