Gliwice mayor opposes controversial fights at FAME MMA 30?

The upcoming FAME MMA 30 gala, scheduled for 21 March in Gliwice, is facing unexpected difficulties. According to reports by Arkadiusz Tańcula, the mayor of Gliwice, Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka, opposes the participation of controversial figures in the event. Natan Marcoń, who would face Mariusz Pudzianowski, may be left out of the planned fight card altogether.

FAME MMA 30 is set to be an anniversary gala that will bring together the top fighters in the freak fighting world. Among the announced fights will be a clash between Makhmud Muradov and Denis Labryga for the heavyweight championship belt, as well as the returns of Jakub “Cuban” Flas and Kasper “Klepsydry” Gutkowski. However, the participation of controversial figures such as Natan Marcoń, who would face Mariusz Pudzianowski, could prove problematic.

In his podcast, Arkadiusz Tańcula revealed that the mayor of Gliwice, Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka, is not in favour of organising fights involving figures such as Natan Marcoń.

The city has doubts about certain fighters,” said Tańcula.

For this reason Marcoń, as well as other controversial figures, may not perform at the upcoming gala.

The city prefers the sporting side of FAME MMA

According to Taniecula, the mayor of Gliwice has a lot of influence on the decisions regarding the fight card and prefers to organise an event that will attract more sporty fighters and not necessarily people associated with controversial freak fights. This decision could influence the shape of the gala, which is fast approaching.

The problem is that the mayor of Gliwice is picky and does not allow the organisation of these loudest, most interesting fights,’ added Tańcula.

The controversial figures mentioned, in addition to Marconia, are Denis Załęcki and `Magicali’, who may have been denied participation in the event.

FAME MMA and the city in silence

For the time being, both FAME MMA representatives and the Gliwice authorities have not addressed the information provided by Tancula. It is unclear whether these reports are just speculation or actually reflected in reality. Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the full fight card to find out if the FAME MMA 30 gala will indeed take a more sporting tone, or if it will attract controversial figures as it has in the past.

Both the organisation and the city will have to make a decision that could significantly affect the nature of the entire event.
