‘Peja’ has rejected an offer to fight in Fame MMA!

Rappers in the ring – a trend in the world of freak-fights

Freak-fights have been hugely popular in Poland for several years now. Rappers are more and more frequently appearing at galas organised by Fame MMA, Clout MMA or Prime MMA, attracting crowds of fans and increasing the viewership of the events. The following have already decided to take part in such shows. “Filipek”, “Duck BRS”, “Major SPZ” and “Zbukuku”. It seems that in the world of freak-fights every artist can find their moment in the limelight, combining spectacle with high earnings.

Peja says no to freak-fights

Although, for many artists, taking part in such events is a way to make extra money and promote themselves, Ryszard ƒ “Peja” Andrzejewski decided to take a different route. In a summary of the year, which he posted on social media, the rapper admitted that he had turned down an offer to fight in Fame MMA.

I also expressed my refusal for several non-musical actions, including the so-called fight at the National Stadium, focusing on worthwhile things such as travelling and drinking coffee, the artist wrote.

Pei’s decision is interesting in that the 48-year-old has repeatedly been at the centre of media controversies

This, combined with his charisma, could draw a huge audience to the octagon.

Unresolved conflict with Tede

There has been speculation that Fame MMA could be planning a match-up between Pei and his long-time antagonist, Warsaw rapper Tede. The two artists have remained in conflict for years, which could be perfect material for an exciting fight. Earlier, Tede himself mentioned that he had been offered a fight for one million euros, which further piqued the interest of fans.

Time for passions, not the ring

Peja made his priorities clear. The musician stressed that at this stage of his life, he values time spent travelling and developing his passions more than media appearances, which he considers a waste of time.

What’s next for the freak-fight world?

Although Peja won’t be appearing in the ring, the freak-fight industry is still growing rapidly. An official announcement is expected soon regarding the merger of Clout MMA with Fame MMA, which could further impact the popularity of such events. Boxdel and the other rulers have certainly not said their last word yet.  Regardless of whether Peja ever changes his mind, his decision clearly shows that even in the world of big money and spectacular events, there are individuals who choose their own values and passions over the media noise.
