Mariusz Pudzianowski resigns from upcoming KSW partnership

Former strongman and MMA fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski has announced that he sees no place for himself in the KSW federation at the moment. In an emotional social media post, he indicated that the financial conditions and relationships in the organisation do not meet his expectations.

A sudden statement and a clear stance

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, Mariusz Pudzianowski posted an entry in which he expressed his disappointment in his collaboration with KSW. He began in strong words:

As of today, there is no $$$ for me to want to enter the KSW cage! … Never say never. But for today I say no!

He then added:

The owner of KSW accuses me of wanting to go to Fame! That’s how I wanted it! … Ok I am beee. So KSW president act like a businessman and not like…..

In the release, he indicated that while he doesn’t rule out a return in the future, he currently doesn’t see a deal that would allow him to be associated with KSW:

Yes for today I do not see a field of agreement that I would like to work with KSW! CDN!

What was the area of disagreement?

Pudzianowski identified two main problems: firstly, the fee, and secondly, the treatment and communication. He reported that despite a proposal from another organisation, Fame MMA, it was KSW that had a ‘charge’ against him, which caused him frustration. Furthermore, after three consecutive defeats in the cage (including a clash with Eddie Hall), the mood around him and within the organisation had cooled.

What’s next for ‘Pudzian’s’ career?

Although Pudzianowski is declaring ‘no’ to working with KSW for the time being, he is not ruling out ending his career altogether – or returning. His entry included the phrase:

‘We are only human and it is possible to sit down at the table at some point in time and talk and change our minds.

It will be interesting to watch whether the KSW federation will respond to this message – and also whether Mariusz Pudzianowski will turn his rivalry towards other organisations or freak-fight formats.
