Anna Popek decided to change jobs after two years with Sakiewicz’s television station. Although she initially avoided giving details, more and more is now known about the reasons for her departure. A Long Career and Subsequent Changes

Anna Popek has remained one of the most recognizable faces on Polish television for years. She began her professional career at the Katowice branch of Telewizja Polska, eventually moving to the national network to co-host “Pytanie na śniadanie.”

Following changes at TVP in 2023, the presenter lost her job at the public broadcaster and decided to join Sakiewicz’s television network. There, she hosted the morning show “Wstajemy!” alongside Rafał Patyra and also appeared on the magazine program “Żyj lepiej.”

At the same time, she developed her own projects, including the POPcast_TV channel on YouTube.

In early April, Anna Popek announced that she was ending her time with her current station, hinting at upcoming career changes.

From what I know, management is planning a format change. It will be altered in some way. As for me, April 1 marked two years since I started working here, and professional changes are certainly ahead of me, but I can’t say exactly what they are just yet.

At the time, she did not reveal any details, but today it is known that she has joined the rival station WPolsce24.

According to unofficial information, the decision to leave was not accidental. Sources close to the station indicate that the financial situation had been difficult for quite some time, which began to affect the day-to-day operations of the newsroom.

The situation at the station had been difficult for quite some time. (…) This began to affect everything—from work organization to the mood among the staff. Added to this was the fact that the breakfast show, which Anna Popek co-hosted, wasn’t exactly drawing large audiences.

Additionally, the breakfast show was not achieving satisfactory ratings.

Anna came to the conclusion that this was no longer the place for her. The atmosphere in the hallways was and still is very tense, which she didn’t like. It wasn’t the kind of environment she wanted to continue working in. She had heard rumors about problems with paying employees’ salaries. She didn’t want to be associated with that, so she decided to leave and find a new job.
