Bonnie Tyler, one of the most recognisable singers of the 1980s and the performer of the timeless hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, has died aged 75. Just a few weeks earlier, reports had emerged regarding her serious health problems and hospitalisation.

The artist was receiving medical care in Portugal. Her condition required intensive treatment, and earlier reports regarding the star’s health had caused great concern amongst her fans. The news of the singer’s death was announced on 9 July 2026.
