A return to the world of film after many years

Ignacy Rzecki is one of the key literary characters of ‘Lalka’ – a faithful friend and collaborator of Wokulski, as well as the narrator of many reflections on the society of 19th-century Warsaw. For Marek Kondrat, this project marks a significant return to the screen after a long break. The actor, who has won numerous awards and is known for such films as ‘Groundhog Day’, ‘Colonel Kwiatkowski’ and ‘C.K. Dezerterzy’, has particularly emphasised that ‘Lalka’ is his favourite novel and the role of Rzecki is of great artistic importance to him.
