Netflix has officially confirmed - '1670' will live to see a third season! Although the second season has not yet premiered, the streaming platform is already announcing the continuation of the adventures of Jan Paweł Adamczewski and his eccentric noble family. This decision shows what a huge success the production, which approaches Polish history with humour and distance, has been.

Why did Netflix decide to make a season 3 of ‘1670’?

Netflix was already satisfied with the viewing results of the first season of the series “1670”. The comedy format, great acting and unique atmosphere attracted a wide audience – not only in Poland. The popularity of the series is also evidenced by the fact that it has been noted internationally as one of the platform’s more interesting European original productions.

What do we know about the plot and premiere date of season 3 of `1670′?

Although the exact premiere date for season 3 of ‘1670’ has not yet been revealed, Netflix confirms that the second season will hit viewers as early as autumn 2025. Only after it airs will we know more details about the next instalment.

Support from the Polish Film Institute

Interestingly, according to Gazeta.pl, the production of the third season has received financial support from the Polish Film Institute (PISF), even though the second season has not formally been made yet. This is a phenomenon on the scale of the Polish film industry and an expression of confidence in the creators and the project itself.

A success that surprised everyone

The series “1670” not only made viewers laugh, but also showed that a Polish costume comedy can win recognition in a world dominated by English-language productions.
