Quebonafide surprises fans once again. This time not with a new album, but with a frank confession about his problems with drugs and the sudden end of his career. Is this the definitive end of one of the most colourful figures in Polish rap?

`Lightweight drugmaker’. – Quebonafide on his battle with stimulants and mental health

In a candid interview, Quebonafide admitted that he has struggled with drug addiction for years. In his own words, he is a “light drug addict” and his psyche experiences “dynamic emotional states”. The subject of alcohol, drugs and the need to “reset the mind” also comes up in the background.

The rapper makes no secret of the fact that Mac Miller’s death and media pressure had an impact on his deteriorating mental state.

‘It was like a rupture – a moment where I decided I couldn’t handle it,’ he recalls.

The end of Quebonafide – last concerts and a new phase of Kuba Grabowski’s life

In June 2025, Quebonafide officially announced the end of his artistic activity. “I’m not going back to rapping. It’s definitive,” he said in an interview with Krzysztof Stanowski. The decision was not impulsive – it had matured over the years and is linked to a desire to preserve his mental health.

The farewell event was divided into several acts. The first – ‘ACT I – North/South’ – takes place online on 26 June and is accessible via the InPost app. The next – live concerts – is scheduled for 27 and 28 June at PGE Narodowe. The huge interest forced the organisers to add an extra date.

Fans divided: emotion, defiance and uncertainty

There was an uproar on social media. Some fans support Quebonafide’s decision, others are disappointed with the form of the farewell. The idea of InPost promoting the event was also controversial, with some accusing the artist of `selling out’ at the end of his career. Despite this, many voices full of empathy and gratitude emphasise his sincerity and courage.
