Michał Sołowow, Jerzy Starak and Tomasz Biernacki – Leaders without competition

The latest list of the 100 Richest Poles published by Forbes brings some interesting changes. For the first time ever, all those included in the ranking are billionaires. Just two years ago, 78 people had this status, a year ago 92, and now as many as 107. However, only the first 100 are included in the official list. The total value of their assets amounts to an impressive PLN 315 billion, an increase of almost 11% compared to last year.

The top of the ranking remains undisputed. The three richest Poles, i.e. Michał Sołowow, Jerzy Starak and Tomasz Biernacki, have jumped ahead of the rest of the list. Each of them has amassed wealth in excess of PLN 20 billion, while the others have not exceeded the ceiling of PLN 10 billion.

Michał Sołowow, whose investments span multiple sectors, is particularly heavily involved in the development of the nuclear power industry. Jerzy Starak, owner of Polpharma Biologics, recorded the fastest growth in assets – his value increased by PLN 5.4 billion in a year. On the other hand, Tomasz Biernacki, the founder of the Dino chain of shops, is strengthening his position on the retail market.
