During his speech, the creator of Channel Zero outlined a number of election promises aimed at highlighting the absurdities of the current political scene. Among them were.

• The legalisation of abortion up to the age of 14, arguing that parents should be able to make an informed decision about parenthood.

• A ‘500 plus’ scheme for farmers, including £500 for each pig or person identifying themselves as a pig.

• Reducing the duration of pregnancy from 9 to 7 months so that mothers do not lose their place in the labour market, with the provision of an incubator in every municipality.

• Reducing electricity prices by 300 per cent.

Election campaign as political happening

From the outset, Stanowski declared that his candidacy was a political happening aimed at exposing the absurdities and mechanisms that govern Polish politics.

I am not standing before you to become President, because I do not have the competence and experience to do so. I am not in a position to hold this office with appropriate dignity and class. It’s just like my competitors, but they don’t know it – he said, emphasising the ironic nature of his campaign.
