On 20 May 2025, TVN presented viewers with the premiere episode of ‘The Floor’, which replaced the cult ‘Millionaires’. It is a dynamic quiz show that delights some with its pace and concept, while others are irritated by the way it is conducted and its controversial rules.

The Floor – rules that require nerves of steel

The new TVN programme is based on a competition between 100 contestants, each of whom occupies one box on a special board. Players are assigned knowledge categories and challenge their neighbours to duels – answering questions.

Each battle won means taking over their rival’s field, and the prizes are specific: 10,000 zlotys for the most fields won in an episode and a chance at 100,000 zlotys in the season finale. As viewers emphasise, “with The Floor you need to have strong nerves” – emotions reach the zenith.

Mikołaj Roznerski as host – a new face in the role of host

“The Floor” is also the debut of Mikołaj Roznerski in the role of a teletournament host. The actor, known from the TV series M jak miłość, is proving himself in his new role with a mixed reception – some praise him for his charisma and ease, while others claim that he lacks experience and naturalness in front of the camera.

Roznerski admitted in an interview that he himself experienced huge emotions during the recordings, which only confirms how intense the format is.

On the other hand, there were also serious allegations – according to some viewers, the programme manipulated the results of the duels and the rules were not entirely clear. ‘The Floor’ can be seen on TVN three times a week – on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 20:55. The station has planned 12 episodes for this season, which are expected to keep viewers in suspense until the finale.
