Helena Englert shared the experience of her studies at the Theatre Academy. She mentioned not only the entrance exam, but also a certain concession that the school's management agreed to. All because of her relationship with Jan Englert.

Helena Englert has been present in the acting world practically since childhood, thanks to the achievements of her famous parents, Jan Englert and Beata Ścibakówna. Recently, the daughter of the well-known couple has been getting more and more attention in the media, appearing in Kuba Wojewódzki’s programme, among others. Now she has been a guest on his podcast, which the TVN star hosts together with Piotr Kędzierski.

The Theatre Academy has agreed to special treatment for Helena Englert. All because of her famous father

Helena Englert, as part of the “WojewódzkiKędzierski” series, talked about what her entrance exams to the A. Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw were like. Jan Englert’s daughter made it clear that she did not receive any concessions or was not favoured in any way.

I had the impression that it was very neutral. I couldn’t find anything. Everything was as it should be,”

she said

.

However, she acknowledged that the university management had agreed to a concession. The issue was that one of the teachers is her father and she didn’t want to end up in his group because, in her opinion, it would be unfair. It was agreed that Englert should not teach his daughter, and

I raised the issue with the school management and we came to an agreement. My dad teaches third year and one group was taught by my dad and the other by Agata Kulesza. We agreed that I would not be in the group led by my dad. I agreed to this, and so did the school management.

As she explains, her presence in her father’s group could cause negative emotions, so she preferred not to take the risk. The idea was not

to put anyone in an uncomfortable situation. So that my groupmates could gain knowledge from the professor normally, without thinking that his daughter was in the room. That would have been unfair –

was the decision right?
