Piotr Krysiak versus Krzysztof Rutkowski: a courtroom dispute

This is an issue that can only be resolved by the court,” stressed Krzysztof Rutkowski in an interview with ShowNews.pl, referring to media materials that hit his reputation.

The detective demanded damages of more than 20 million zloty and announced consistent action against those presenting him in an unfavourable light. The list of defendants includes, among others, Piotr Krysiak, who, as it turns out, is already owed nearly 200 thousand zlotys.Throughout October, the author of the well-known book “Girls from Dubai” intensively published in social media materials allegedly discrediting Rutkowski. Although the dispute temporarily quietened down in November, the amount of potential damages suggests that Krysiak is in serious trouble.

Rutkowski demands millions in damages

Everything has to be proven,” Rutkowski pointed out, explaining that private indictments have already been filed with the courts, as well as requests for two damages of 10 million zlotys each.

What’s more, the detective has filed a warrant against the prosecutor who was involved in one of the materials portraying him in a negative light, demanding one million zlotys from her employer – the Minister of Justice.

Piotr Krysiak’s debts: almost PLN 200,000

According to the documents, Piotr Krysiak has been avoiding repayment of his adjudicated debts since 2018. His debt as of December this year has reached as much as PLN 194,000. The journalist, who likes to boast about his luxurious life in Spain, downplayed the problem, explaining that he could have simply forgotten to pay the bill.

Meanwhile, the issue is not limited to finances. His use of a council flat in Warsaw’s Mokotow district is also in doubt. Officials admit that this topic remains unresolved and the Department of Real Estate Management has so far not provided clear information.

Rutkowski on the media campaign

According to Krzysztof Rutkowski, the media attacks on him result from human envy.

Some people cannot accept my success. I have a wonderful family, professional achievements and a good life, which causes jealousy,” said the detective.

He announced that he intends to seek justice and defend his family’s good name.

Polish courts should work efficiently, so I hope for a quick resolution of this case. Whoever offended us will pay a high price,” he added.

Piotr Krysiak rose to fame with books such as The Girls from Dubai, but his career has been marked by controversy. Back in 2005, he was sued by Edyta Górniak for his unauthorised biography ‘Edyta Górniak: Bez cenzury’. The court banned the dissemination of this publication and ordered an apology and a charitable contribution. This year, Krysiak found himself at the centre of another scandal when he was sued over the publication of ‘Girls from Dubai’. The journalist has consistently avoided commenting on his problems, limiting himself to insulting statements to questioners.

Piotr Krysiak attacks Krzysztof Stanowski

In an interview for Radio Rebeliant, Krysiak criticized the creator of Kanał Zero for publishing materials about Natalia Janoszek. In his opinion, they were distasteful and constituted a form of abuse of a disturbed person. He also added that the three-hour film about Natalia Janoszek was too long and could have been shortened without any significant loss for the audience. Moreover, the journalist believes that instead of attacking a celebrity, presidential candidate Stanowski should focus on creating substantive content.
