Vanessa Aleksander triumphs abroad! Polish film wins prestigious award in Berlin

Vanessa Aleksander starred in the short sci-fi drama "Love_proxy", which won the jury's hearts at this year's Blaue Blume awards in Berlin. The film was awarded in the "Best Polish Film" category, which is a great honor for the entire production team and another step in the young actress's international career.

Blaue Blume – an award for romantic stories

Blaue Blume is a prestigious award given by Romance TV since 2011. In 2024, Polish creators were able to take part in the competition for the first time, and now their presence on the international stage has been established thanks to the success of “Love_proxy”. This year’s edition of the awards took place on February 12 in Berlin. The jury appreciated the Polish film for its “perceptive portrayal of the impact of the digital world on interpersonal relationships and its bold approach to the topic of authenticity in the age of social media”.

“Love_proxy” – a plot that makes you think

The film directed by Marcin Niemkiewicz presents the story of Gniewek, a 27-year-old programmer who receives an advanced robot at work, which is an improved version of himself. Instead of using the machine as intended, the hero decides to use his digital doppelganger to get closer to his beloved Lena.
