Film adaptation in preparation

As reported by Super Express, talks are underway to make a film about Krzysztof Rutkowski. In the near future, the detective and his family are to travel to the United States, where he will meet with Krzysztof Gojidz, an intermediary in talks with Hollywood producers.

I will be the main coordinator of this production. I might play myself, but it depends on a lot of factors. I would love to be played by Christopher junior from my youth, because he is similar to me. It will depend on the producer, whether he wants a completely English-language film, or whether there will be some Polish inserts, for example, as there was in Pianist”.

Rutkowski stresses that his command of the English language could be a hindrance to playing the lead role. Therefore, he is open to the proposal that his character be played by an American actor.

Krzysiek Gojdź has contacts to a whole plethora of Hollywood stars, so he will certainly help in selecting an American actor for my role. The adult Rutkowski could be played by Tom Cruise, because he is of a similar age. If not him, I’m sure someone good can be found. Maybe even someone from outside the top would pull it off and it would be the role of his life,” assessed the detective.
