Żurnalista's interview with Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan triggered a wave of comments, but not because of the content of the interview. What caught the viewers' attention was the clearly smoothed-out image of the celebrity. The author of the podcast decided to address the criticism and explained who was actually responsible for the use of the filter.

The filter that dominated the reception of the interview

The Żurnalista podcast with Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan attracted interest from the beginning, but this time internet users focused almost exclusively on the visual layer. The presenter’s image was clearly smoothed out, prompting numerous comments and accusations of excessive retouching. The criticism was so intense that the conversation itself went downhill.

Journalist: it was not my decision

In the following episode of his podcast, The Journalist decided to publicly explain the whole situation. As he pointed out, the use of the filter was not his idea or a conscious decision. The smoothing effect was supposed to have been added without his knowledge, already at the post-production stage.

There’s no filter on the reels, we’ve already got rid of 100 per cent. It was only then that I saw what it looked like. And it wasn’t Gosia’s request, it was someone from her circle,” he explained.

Rozenek was not supposed to know what the end result looked like

The journalist also stressed that Malgorzata Rozenek-Majdan herself might not have seen the material before publication. In his opinion, the celebrity was not directly involved in the decision to apply the filter, and if it had been otherwise, she would have informed him personally.

I don’t think Gosia saw it before publication either, and I think she didn’t like it either, because she didn’t share the conversation afterwards. It seems to me, but I don’t know, but she could only have held a grudge against someone in her circle. I would leave Gosia out of it, especially since she has my number and regularly contacted me,” he stated in an interview with Cyprian Majcher.

‘Funny and pathetic’, but the interview was successful.

The creator of the podcast made no secret of the fact that publishing the material in this form was a mistake. He admitted that the filter completely overshadowed the substantive side of the interview, which, in his opinion, was one of the more interesting episodes.

After all, it came off as ridiculous and pathetic. Gosia knows this too. Especially since the interview is great and I like it a lot, it came out ridiculous,” concluded Żurnalista.

I can’t believe they would ruin such an interesting interview with excessive retouching! The focus should be on the content, not on the presenter’s appearance.

It’s a shame that the filter overshadowed the substance of the interview. The podcast creator should have been more careful with the post-production.

I feel bad for Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan, she probably had no idea about the filter. It’s unfair to criticize her for something she didn’t control.

The journalist should have double-checked the final version before publishing. This whole situation could have been avoided.

It’s disappointing to see such a successful interview being overshadowed by a silly mistake. Hopefully, they’ll learn from this experience.

I wonder who in Małgorzata’s circle thought it was a good idea to use the filter without her consent. That’s just unprofessional.

Despite the filter controversy, I still enjoyed the interview. The content was engaging and insightful, overshadowing the visual distraction.
