New Year's Eve is a time for fun and a boisterous welcome to the New Year, but for many animals it means hours of stress and anxiety. Andrzej Wrona, a well-known volleyball player and animal lover, decided to devote himself entirely to his four-legged pets that night to make them as comfortable as possible. By his own admission, his New Year's Eve night was spent in the bathroom, where he protected his dogs from the noise of the fireworks. In an emotional post on Instagram, he appealed to all pyrotechnics fans to think of others.

Andrzej Wrona and his wife Zofia Zborowska, known for their commitment to helping animals, decided to spend New Year’s Eve at home. All this to take care of their adopted dogs – Krysia and the recently adopted Kazik. The explosions of fireworks, however, left the animals terrified. Wrona locked himself in the bathroom with them, where, thanks to a fan and music, he tried to offset the stress caused by the noise from outside.

Happy New Year to all those who can’t deny themselves n*********nia with fireworks and thanks to them I spend this moment in the loo with the dogs (because there is no window here, the fan goes loud and I play music for them) in clothes peed on by the terrified Kazik,” wrote the sportsman

Kazik – a new member of the Crow family

The couple recently adopted Kazik after losing their beloved dog Wiesi. As Zofia Zborowska admitted, the decision to adopt a new four-legged dog was an attempt to “heal hearts after Wiesi”. Apart from Kazik, the Wrona family also has Krysia, also adopted from a shelter. New Year’s Eve was an extremely difficult time for both dogs, which shows how important it is to limit the use of fireworks.

Strong appeal to fireworks fans

In an emotional post, Andrzej Wrona appealed to people who love setting off firecrackers to look beyond their own needs.

It would be nice if we looked a little further than the tip of our own nose on this night,” he wrote.

As he admitted, at the time his wife was watching over their daughters, who were asleep, while he kept an eye on the stressed dogs.
