Anja Rubik – how has education affected her life?

Anja Rubik, one of the most prominent Polish models, despite the lack of higher education, is constantly involved in important social initiatives. Her educational path, although unusual, had a significant impact on her later activities.

Education on three continents

Anja Rubik was born in Rzeszow, but spent her childhood in different parts of the world. After moving to Czestochowa, she attended a linguistics school and then the First Social High School. After graduating from high school, she went to Paris, where she continued her studies at a British high school, École Bilingue, while developing her modeling career. After high school graduation, she moved to New York, where she began an international modeling career.

Activism despite lack of diploma

Despite her lack of formal higher education, Anja Rubik is actively involved in education and human rights activities. In 2015, she led a discussion forum on education during a festival organized by Grażyna Kulczyk in Poznan. Her #sexedpl foundation, founded on the initiative of volunteers, has been promoting awareness of sex education among young people for more than seven years. Rubik proves that passion and commitment can bring more rewarding results than academic titles.

Honors for educational activities

In 2021, Anja Rubik was awarded the title of “Friend of the School” at the Teacher of the Year Competition Gala at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. This honor was the result of her involvement in various social and educational campaigns, including those on disability, violence against women and ecology. In recent years, her public activity has been dominated by the topic of sex education, to which she has devoted much of her activities.
