Anna Lewandowska, not only as the wife of the famous footballer Robert Lewandowski, but also as a coach and businesswoman, is always trying to be an inspiration to others. She recently gave a touching interview on Maks Behrer's podcast `From Behind the Scenes' for Chilli Zet, where she revealed a bit more about her private life, particularly touching on the topic of heckling.

Lewandowska – heckling as the price of popularity?

Despite her professional success, Anna Lewandowska does not shy away from difficult topics. The trainer stressed that popularity is not only about the glitter and positive comments. Every public figure faces criticism, heckling and negative reviews. She says openly that, although she often presents herself as a strong and independent woman, it has sometimes been difficult for her to deal with the constant onslaught of heckling. In the interview, she revealed:

I have had situations like this related to heckling, for example. There is more and more talk about this hegemony now, there are many beautiful actions that are organised by women who are important big names in Poland, they are power women, they do these projects and I keep my fingers crossed for them. If they want to, I will always support them. And I’ll support these kinds of initiatives, because hate kills.

In fact, I had a moment where I felt sorry. I’m a strong woman, but how much can you. How much can you boilerplate, read, listen and so on. At a certain point I turned it off. Barcelona in particular helped me. I don’t know anything that goes on in the gossip media. Nothing. Now I had this kind of women’s meeting with my girlfriends. It’s an annual thing, we’ve had this tradition for over 10 years now. And somewhere someone said something or heard something, and I say: `girls, I don’t know anything that’s going on’. I’m away from it all in general and I’m very comfortable with it.

Anna Lewandowska bravely on heckling

Anna Lewandowska touched on the difficult topic of the impact of hate speech on her life. She pointed out that hejt can have a devastating effect on one’s psyche and mental health. The trainer stressed that `Heye kills’, and that the words directed towards her are sometimes not only hurtful, but also frightening. The trainer also addressed how hejt affects her role as a mother. Anna Lewandowska has two daughters and admitted that one of them asks questions that scare her. For a mother, it’s important to protect her children from negative outside influences.

I’m a mum of two children – one daughter who is very sensitive, delicate, empathetic, emotional, who already sees more and more and touches on certain issues, asks certain questions that already scare me. I open the internet and I read in the comments under a very positive family post, very negative things. What is going on! Obviously these are some frustrations, because there are wars in the world, there was a pandemic, children are dying, people are dying, we have a problem, people don’t have enough to live on… And that’s some explanation, but let’s move on

.

The fight against hate speech according to Lewandowska

Anna Lewandowska has spoken out very strongly about the issue of hate speech. She also pointed out the enormity of the phenomenon of depression among young people:

Let’s think about something else now. What’s going on these days and what are the scary statistics when it comes to child depression? What is happening and what percentage is suicide attempts in children? What is happening with children’s mental disorders? This is in third place as a problem in Poland. And I will want to talk about it more and more.

Anna Lewandowska, although she often presents herself as a strong and independent woman, showed her human side in this candid interview. Trainer, businesswoman and mother, she openly discussed the difficulties of being a public figure. At the same time, she remains an inspiration to many, proving that it is important to be yourself and deal with difficulties, even when shining in the media spotlight.
