Travelling is not only an opportunity to relax, but also to experience extraordinary adventures. Anna Mucha, who loves discovering new places, this time went to Uganda. During her trip, the actress had the opportunity to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, which turned out to be an unforgettable experience, although not without chills.

An African adventure full of emotions

This is not the first time Anna Mucha has visited Africa. After an eventful trip to Madagascar, this time she set her sights on Uganda, where she and her partner had the opportunity to see wildlife up close. One of the highlights of the trip was an encounter with mountain gorillas. On Instagram, the actress shared the footage and recounted a situation that made her heart beat faster for a moment.

You ask, wasn’t I scared? Yes, there was a moment when my heart stopped for a second when a male demonstrated his displeasure that one of the trackers got too close to his wife. Fortunately, the conflict was quickly resolved,” Mucha reported.

Close encounter with wildlife

Although there are strict safety rules during such expeditions, Anna Mucha experienced an unusual moment when one of the gorillas decided to approach her at a very short distance.

At every step, everyone told us to stay about 10 m away from the gorillas, but no one warned the gorillas to stay away from us! So when, at one point, one of the mothers decided to walk right by me, with the cubs behind her, I stood still and waited for her to pass me,” she recounted with fascination.

Safety first

When travelling to Africa, it is important to remember to take the right health preparation. Mucha revealed that she had to be vaccinated against yellow fever before the expedition, as well as taking care to protect herself against malaria.

Yes, we had to be vaccinated against fever. No, we don’t take malaria medication, but we carry it with us,” she explained, adding that she did not encounter problematic insects or snakes in Uganda.

Biting ants – a small but nuisance problem

Although mosquitoes, spiders or snakes did not pose a threat to her, Mucha mentioned other small inhabitants of Uganda’s wildlife. –

Larger spiders live under the terrace in Warsaw. But biting ants are a completely different story,” she added with humour.
