Anna Wyszkoni recalls career turning point

Anna Wyszkoni has three decades of stage presence behind her, and her career spans both her years in the band Łzy and her solo activities. In an interview with Plejada, the artist went back to 2010, when she decided to leave the group she had previously been strongly associated with.

Years later, the singer looks back on that moment with detachment. She makes no secret of the fact that leaving the band was a risk and an emotional burden, but at the same time emphasises that the decision opened up a new professional stage for her.

Leaving Łez was difficult, but necessary

Wyszkoni indicated that there were moments in her work that required courage. However, she does not describe them as experiences that stopped her or took away her will to act.

There were moments that were difficult, but they were not depressing moments, they were not moments that pulled me down,” she explained.

The most important example of such a breakthrough was the break-up with Łzy. The artist admitted that at the time the decision was not an easy one, but today she views it unequivocally positively.

There were moments that were risky, such as leaving Łzy in 2010. Consequently, here we are 16 years later and I feel it was the best decision I could have made, even though at the time it was bought with regret,” she said.

The singer does not want to dwell on the past

Anna Wyszkoni also stressed that she is not one of those people who analyse past choices for a long time. Instead of revisiting what could have turned out differently, she prefers to focus on her future plans and new projects.

I’m also not one of those people who sit around, brooding, analysing what was good, what was bad. Rather, I am of those who move forward.

This approach is a good indication of how an artist treats her career. Rather than dwelling on difficult moments, she uses them as part of her professional journey and a starting point for her next steps.

30th anniversary and new music

Wyszkoni is currently celebrating 30 years on stage, but her jubilee is not meant to be just a nostalgic return to old hits. The artist has announced that she intends to combine well-known songs with premiere material during her performances.

Today, even though I’m summing up 30 years on stage, even though I’ll be presenting mostly my hits, I’ll also be performing a new song, which is one of the songs that announce my upcoming premiere album, which will be released in the autumn. There’s a lot of this cool new stuff going on,” she concluded.

The new album is set to be the next phase in the singer’s solo career. From her words, it seems that despite her jubilee, she does not intend to close herself off with mere summaries, but still wants to develop her work and present fresh compositions to the public.
