From Bestsellers to Controversy

Blanka Lipińska rose to fame thanks to her “365 Days” series, which quickly became a publishing phenomenon and was adapted for the screen. The books’ success translated into international recognition and a significant increase in the author’s wealth.

For years, Lipińska has cultivated an image of a forthright person who does not shy away from difficult and often controversial topics. Her statements regularly provoke extreme reactions among internet users.

Blanka Lipińska speaks openly about her aversion to motherhood

One of the most recurring themes in the celebrity’s statements is her attitude toward motherhood. Blanka Lipińska has repeatedly emphasized that she does not plan to have children and does not identify with the traditional family model.

Her stance has stirred emotions for years—both among supporters of the right to individual choice and critics of such unequivocal declarations.

“I intend to do it this year”

In her latest interview with Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan on the podcast “Z bliska,” the celebrity returned to the topic, this time in a much more specific context.

This year I’d like to go to the Czech Republic because, unfortunately, Polish law allows men to get a vasectomy—legally and cheaply. (…) But for me to get sterilized, I have to travel—basically to any European country other than Poland—and pay 2,000 euros for it, and only then can I do it legally.

Lipińska made no secret of her frustration with the regulations in force in Poland.

Blanka Lipińska: “I just want peace of mind”

The celebrity clearly stated that she plans to undergo the procedure later this year.

And I intend to do it this year.

As she emphasized, the decision stems from the need to close this chapter and regain a sense of control over her own life.

I just want peace of mind, because I’m sure I don’t want this. Since my country is capable of meddling in my private life and my uterus, I’ll go to another country where people respect that someone might not want this.

A Discussion About Rights and Choice

Blanka Lipińska’s statement has reignited the debate on access to sterilization in Poland and the right to make decisions about one’s own body.

The issue stirs strong emotions and divides public opinion—much like many of the celebrity’s previous statements. One thing is certain, however: her words have once again become the starting point for a broader discussion about the limits of state interference in citizens’ private lives.
