A love that has lasted for years

Bogusław Linda and Lidia Popiel can boast one of the longest tenures in Polish show business. The couple met in 1991 on the set of the film Kroll, directed by Władysław Pasikowski. Linda played the role of Lieutenant Ark and Popiel played Angela, Meles’ wife. Their romance quickly turned into a lasting relationship, and a year after their first meeting, their daughter Alexandra was born. Although they only decided to marry in 2000, their relationship has stood the test of time.

Lidia Popiel, who left her then-husband, painter Witold Popiel, for Linda, stresses that she was not enchanted by his fame. ÒI was not interested in him because he was my dream object. I was not swept away by his fame. Boguslaw has a huge charm about him, something so magnetic that even if he was sweeping the streets, a lot of women would fall in love with him,” she – she said in an interview with Viva.

Loyalty, trust and honesty

Despite the opinion of Boguslaw as a womaniser, Lidia stresses that the basis of their relationship is loyalty, trust and honest conversation. She is also not bothered by other women’s interest in her husband. “I love it when women are interested in my guy. And does he move his characters to the terrace area, the garden, the kitchen? No. Boguslaw Linda in private and Boguslaw Linda in the cinema are admittedly not two different people, but there is no role-playing at home.” – Popiel says.

Everyday joys in Linda’s life

The couple likes to spend time on simple pleasures. One of their favourite ways to spend time is playing games together, such as chess. Linda once posted a photo on Instagram of them playing a game of chess, asking: “Does it matter who wins?”. Their love and mutual understanding make for a peaceful and happy life.
