Doda and the latest court verdict

Doda was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for two years, and a fine of PLN 10,000. Emil S., on the other hand, received a sentence of nine months’ absolute imprisonment, one and a half years’ community service and a fine of PLN 100,000 to the state treasury. It is worth noting that the verdict is not final.Neither the artist nor Emil S. were present in court during the trial. Emil S. is currently in custody due to charges in another case concerning the misappropriation of property amounting to approximately PLN 5 million.

Comment by Emil Haidar’s lawyer

Emil Haidar’s lawyer, Jerzy Jurek, expressed his satisfaction with the verdict, but has some comments: The

verdict was delivered today, we accept it with satisfaction. In our opinion, the punishment is a bit lenient for the principals, so we are considering an appeal.

The voice of Doda’s manager

Dorota Rabczewska’s manager announced an appeal against the verdict, arguing that there is no evidence of her charge’s guilt, only circumstantial evidence based on media reports. She also stressed that the verdict is not final and that the court’s oral reasoning did not clarify the case. The story goes on and the manager assures that they will continue the fight, especially since an investigative journalist described the backstory of the case, based on undeniable evidence.
