Doda candid about ex-partners: “Every single one is a failure”

For years, Doda has continuously attracted attention not only for her musical talent and controversial statements, but also for her turbulent emotional life. In the latest episode of the podcast ‘Bliskoznaczni’, hosted by Katarzyna Nosowska and her son Mikołaj, the singer dared to talk about her relationships with former partners. By her own admission, she doesn’t have the best memories of them.

I had a sexaholic, an alcoholic, a drug addict and such a total atheist, who sort of intentionally dragged me into the relationship to build his career. Here I could write a doctorate on the subject. (…) Each one is a failure, a failure of my choices and some of my naivety – she confessed bluntly.

Relationships marked by pain and manipulation

The singer, although known for her self-confidence and strong character, made no secret of the fact that she often felt abused and humiliated. She recalled situations that, in retrospect, seem downright unbelievable to her.

In an argument, how does someone tell you: Sit, sit on that sofa. Soon the prosecutor will take it away from you, then you won’t have anything to sit on. It shows that I’m just practising self-flagellation and I’m able to agree to anything so that someone will love me again. (…) I feel distaste for myself, – she shared painfully.

Shocking backstories of living with toxic partners

These are not the only shocking stories that came to light during the interview. The artist also mentioned the behaviour of one ex who wanted to trade her personal belongings. There was also an anecdote about a concert where Doda’s partner decided to stand out…. passive attitude –
