Dorota Stalińska is the mother of an adult son. The identity of her child’s father remains a mystery

Dorota Stalińska, famous for her unique voice, has for many years been one of the most recognisable and distinctive actresses in Poland. She graduated from the Warsaw Theatre School in 1976 and began her film career, making her debut in Man of Marble, directed by Andrzej Wajda. Since then, her career has taken off, and during her studies, Stalińska met actor Krzysztof Kołbasiuk. Their love was so strong that they decided to get married before graduation. Unfortunately, the marriage did not stand the test of time and after a few years they divorced.

Dorota Stalińska – a love story full of pain

The couple was seen as a beautiful, harmonious duo who supported each other in all circumstances. The year 1980 was a turning point for them, both in terms of their careers and their personal lives. Stalińska starred in the film Loveless, directed by Barbara Sass, and Kołbasiuk joined the cast of the cult series Dom. While working on the set of this series, Kołbasiuk fell in love with a younger colleague, Jolanta Żółkowska. Although Stalińska fought to maintain her marriage, her husband’s love for another woman was stronger and the couple decided to divorce. Kołbasiuk remained with Żółkowska until her death in 2006, and Stalińska chose not to remarry.

A successful independent mother

After the divorce, Stalińska concentrated on her work and successfully pursued her career. However, this was not the most important thing for her. In 1989, she became a mother – her only son, Pawel, was born. Despite numerous questions and speculations, the actress has never revealed who the father of the now grown-up man is. Pawel

is a wonderfully conceived love child. And nothing better in life could have happened to me. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for him. There was a threat that I wouldn’t be able to have children at all, and Pawel was born when I was already 36 years old,” Stalińska confessed in an interview with Viva.

She also added that motherhood on her own was not a plan for her, but “it just so happened.

A single, but above all independent mother, it certainly wasn’t easy.
