Anna Samusionek shared with her fans on Instagram an unpleasant experience from a PKP Intercity train journey. A delay of more than an hour, a change of train drivers and a confrontation with a drunken passenger who started brawling during the ride - these are just some of the actress's difficult experiences. Here is how her journey, which was supposed to be just a routine return to Warsaw, went.

Anna Samusionek complains about the PKP journey

Anna Samusionek set off from Wrocław, after finishing filming for the series, planning a quiet return to the capital. Unfortunately, the train she was to travel on did not go according to plan from the very beginning.
The actress, as she described herself, felt surprised by the lack of comforts she had not had to worry about before. It quickly became apparent that the comfort of the journey on the PKP Intercity train left a lot to be desired.

Delays and unexpected stoppages

The troubles began early on in the journey – first with a delay of 70 minutes. As Samusionek recounts:

‘After some time we got stuck at some station for quite a long time and were told that the delay would be 70 minutes. Some time later the train stopped again. The reason? The driving drivers had run out of time due to the delay and there was no one on shift.

The lack of proper information about the reasons for the delay and the long stops only added to the frustration of passengers. This was compounded by inconveniences such as the lack of a dining car and the ability to purchase drinks or food. In addition, the actress highlighted that basic amenities were not available, further adding to the dissatisfaction of the journey.

A brawl with a drunk passenger

Just when it seemed that things couldn’t get any worse, an intoxicated man came on board and started causing a ruckus. As the actress recalls:

The drunken, smelly (…) passenger who got on board to take advantage of the long stopover, shouting the famous ‘k-word’ into the phone, was just a poor addition to the circus. When I pointed out to him that I didn’t feel like listening to this, he began to threaten quite vulgarly.

Samusionek stressed that the situation escalated quickly. Fortunately, her fellow passengers stood up for her and the conductor reacted quickly, escorting the man off the train. This, however, did not erase the impression that the journey had left on the actress.

‘Slight train trauma’ – how the journey ended

Afterwards, Samusionek said that although the journey ended successfully in the end, it left a mark on her. In her words:

There’s a slight train trauma from this trip that I won’t forget for a long time.

The journey, which was only supposed to last a few hours, dragged on for four. Although the actress appreciated the help of other passengers and the conductor, the whole situation showed how much still needs to be improved on the Polish railway to make travel truly comfortable and safe.

The fact that the journey dragged on for four hours instead of a few is just ridiculous. PKP needs to do better.

I’m shocked by the lack of basic amenities on the train. Passengers deserve better treatment and respect from the service providers.
