Henry Tadeusz Farrell, son of a Polish actress and a Hollywood star, is being brought up in the United States, where English is the predominant language. Despite his mother's efforts, the boy is not fluent in Polish.

Life in an English-speaking environment

Henry Tadeusz Farrell, son of Alicja Bachleda-Curus and Colin Farrell, lives in the United States, where he attends school and speaks English on a daily basis. Despite his mother’s efforts, Henry does not speak Polish. The actress decided to explain why this was the case.

Although I wanted him to speak mainly Polish, English came more easily to him, he could hear it all around him, and in turn I wanted to be able to communicate with him as quickly as possible. I made a compromise – confessed Alicja Bachleda-Curus in an interview with the weekly magazine Życie na gorąco.

Staying connected to Polish roots

Although Henry does not speak Polish fluently, he tries to learn single utterances in the language. He uses them especially when he visits his grandparents from his mother’s side.

He prepares whole utterances for himself when he has to go to his grandparents, he enjoys it terribly – concluded the actress.

Public appearances and media attention

Henry Thaddeus is making more and more public appearances with Colin Farrell, which is generating a lot of media interest. He accompanied his father to the premiere of the TV series `Penguin’ in New York, and before that, he breezed around with him at the Academy Awards. He can also be seen in paparazzi photos.
