However, it was his mother who infected him with a passion for tennis. Zofia Hurkacz, gold medallist at the Polish tennis championships, taught little Hubert the basics of the discipline. Everything indicates that the 16-year-old sister of the tennis player will also follow in her mother’s footsteps. Nika has been training from a young age and often accompanies her brother on the courts, so it is no surprise that the 26-year-old is now regarded as one of Poland’s best tennis players. Already at the age of 18, Hubert showed his mettle at the junior Australian Open, where he paired with Alex Molčan to reach the final. In 2021, he reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon. The tennis player reached the finals in ATP Tour tournaments as many as six times, of which he won them five times and made three finals in the same year.

The tennis player is undoubtedly already a millionaire. Just for dropping out of the Wimbledon semi-finals, Hurkacz was paid PLN 2,464,450. In total, it is estimated that the sportsman has earned over 7 million zlotys on court.

I like to have time to meet friends, have dinners together. I catch such moments. For the last month I had one day off. I spent it with friends on the golf course,” he added.
