The Communion season is underway, and celebrities are increasingly willing to share the preparations for their children's special day. Among them was Iwona Węgrowska, who presented the stylings in which her daughter Lilianna appeared during her First Communion. Internet users were not indifferent - the comments are extreme.

Exclusive setting and opulent creations – this is what Węgrowska’s daughter’s communion looked like

Iwona Węgrowska, known for such hits as ‘Kiedyś zapomnę’ and ‘Dzielna’, has been dividing her life between stage and family for years. This time, all the attention focused on her 10-year-old daughter Lilianna, who made her First Holy Communion in May.

The singer had already announced that the ceremony and reception would be organised on a grand scale. In an interview with ‘SuperExpress’, she revealed:

‘It used to be that parties were done at home. And today these are expensive parties. With us there will be more than 50 people, because Lili has asked to invite friends and acquaintances in addition to her family, so it is on the rich side. Lili has two dresses and five alternate creations. Three garlands. Plus hair and make-up.

The estimated cost of the whole ceremony? Around 40,000 zloty.

Instagram fashion shows and fans’ reactions

On her profile on Instagram, Węgrowska showed off photos of her daughter’s communion stylings. Among the creations on show was a modest alb designed for the church, but the most exciting was the impressive gown for the reception – long, with voluminous tulle and rich lace.

The artist thanked the designer with the words:

‘Elu you are amazing. Your creations allow each of us to feel beautiful and special. Thank you.

Internet users divided: “Exaggeration”, “Like at a gypsy wedding”.

Despite the positive reception from the singer’s fans, there was also a wave of criticism. Some commentators considered the styling to be exaggerated and inappropriate to the religious nature of the ceremony. There were even comparisons to wedding outfits:

Like at a gypsy wedding,” wrote internet users.

The comments clearly show that the topic of the communion stylings of children of stars still arouses great emotions, especially in the context of the growing scale of lavish receptions.

I understand wanting to make the day special, but spending 40,000 zloty on a communion seems excessive. There are better ways to use that money.

I think some people are being too harsh with their criticism. It’s her daughter’s special day, let them celebrate however they want.

The gown for the reception was definitely over the top, but hey, if they can afford it and it makes them happy, who are we to judge?

I think it’s important to remember that everyone has different priorities when it comes to celebrations. Let them do what makes them happy.

I personally wouldn’t spend that much on a communion, but to each their own. As long as they’re not hurting anyone, let them enjoy their special day.
