Tension in the courtroom

On Thursday, 29 August, another divorce hearing between Joanna Opozda and Antoni Królikowski took place at the District Court in Warsaw. Although the couple separated over two years ago, the formal end of their marriage is still dragging on. As reported by Pudelek, there was unexpected tension in the court corridor before the hearing began, which required the intervention of security.

Security in action

There was a distinctly nervous atmosphere in the courtroom. Malgorzata Ostrowska-Królikowska, called as a witness by her son Antoni, did not hide her nervousness at the sight of paparazzi who appeared in court. Similar emotions accompanied Joanna Opozda, which necessitated the involvement of security. According to Pudelek, security was forced to intervene, locking the witnesses in a special room to avoid unwanted photos. At times when witnesses were called into the courtroom, security secured their passage by covering the bathroom door to prevent paparazzi from taking photos.

A complicated relationship and an ongoing trial

Joanna Opozda and Antoni Królikowski officially remain married, even though their relationship ended some time ago. The couple, who initially received a lot of media attention, are now at the centre of a difficult and media-tracked divorce process. The media interest is further heightened by the fact that Antoni Królikowski is already in a new relationship and his current partner is expecting a baby.
