On the occasion of All Saints' Day, Kinga Rusin shared personal memories of her ancestors on Instagram. The journalist showed that her family tree hides famous figures who have become part of Polish culture.

Kinga Rusin’s family legacy

Recently, Kinga Rusin decided to commemorate her ancestors by posting on Instagram some photos of tombstones and short descriptions linking her to special characters. Some individuals played important roles in Polish history!

Famous in the family: singer and actor

In her account, Rusin revealed that her family includes figures such as Mieczysław Fogg – one of Poland’s most famous singers. It turned out that Franciszek Fogiel, the journalist’s great-grandfather, had a native brother whose son, Mieczysław, took the artistic surname Fogg.

My great-grandfather Franciszek Fogiel had a furniture factory in Warsaw’s Praga district (…). He also had a native brother whose son was Mieczysław Fogiel. Sound a little familiar? And rightly so!

The journalist also revealed that actor Aleksander Fogel, known from the film ‘Krzyżacy,’ is also part of her family.

Kinga Rusin ended her post with the advice to record family stories:

don’t make the same mistake I did. Record your grandmothers and grandfathers, write down their stories,” she encouraged, stressing the value of remembering the past.
