Alimony dispute: PLN 30,000 a month and million-dollar claims

Krzysztof Rutkowski was sued by Natasha Joanna Zych – mother of his 16-year-old son Alexander – for alimony in the amount of 30,000 zł per month and 5 million zł as compensation. Part of this amount was to go to a single mother’s home in Łódź. The case caused a huge stir, both in the media and in public opinion.

Rutkowski comments on the court verdict and the “unfounded claims”

The celebrity detective did not remain indebted. In numerous interviews, he has stressed that for years he has been handing over 2,000 zlotys of alimony per month and an additional 12,000 zlotys per year – which amounts to an average of 3,000 zlotys per month. He claims that the demand for PLN 30,000 “goes beyond moral and economic norms”.

The court did not agree with the boy’s mother – at least at this stage. The alimony was provisionally set at PLN 3 000 per month. This amount is to be paid in compensation from January 2025. Rutkowski has already announced that she intends to appeal and request that this sum be reduced to PLN 1 000, explaining this by the suspension of her business and her pension of around PLN 3 000.

Will Rutkowski disinherit his son?

In media statements, Rutkowski went even further. He announced that he wants to disinherit Alexander, pointing to a lack of connection and “ingratitude” on the part of his son. According to him, he does not feel an emotional relationship with him and does not intend to leave him any assets. However, he has indicated that a real conversation can only take place when the boy reaches the age of majority.

Public reactions and legal consequences

The case is stirring up huge emotions. Internet users in the comments emphasise the father’s duty towards the child. The court’s decision on alimony is provisional – the trial is still ongoing and the final amount of alimony and possible compensation will be determined in subsequent hearings.
