In February this year, Maciej Kurzajewski, announced that he was planning to compete in the Ironman in Gdynia. There is less than a month left until this extremely demanding fitness competition. The "Question for Breakfast" host published a photo from the gym.

Maciej Kurzajewski may have turned 50 on 29 January, but he seems to be experiencing a second youth. His relationship with Katarzyna Cichopek has moved on to the stage of building a house together. While his partner is busy choosing furniture and accessories for Kurzajewski’s villa in Stara Milosna, he tries to visit the gym regularly.

Is Maciej Kurzajewski taking part in the Ironman?

The situation is serious as there is less than a month left until the Ironman in Gdynia. In February this year, Kurzajewski surprised everyone with a major announcement on Instagram. He announced that he planned to compete in the extremely demanding event this summer. As he wrote at the time: ‘

Since the word has been spoken, I officially confirm my start in the Ironman. (…) In the coming days, I will be happy to introduce the partners who will support me in achieving this goal! I invite you to listen to interviews with triathlon people who inspire me and whose knowledge I can benefit from on my way to preparing for my first Ironman.”

Maciej Kurzajewski trains without saving his strength

The date of the Ironman in Gdynia is set for 6 August, so there is little time left for preparations. The ‘Questions for Breakfast’ presenter tries to devote every free moment to training. This is not surprising, given that he has a distance of 1.9 kilometres to cover by swimming, 90 kilometres by bike and 21.1 kilometres by running. The total route is 113 kilometres. Since declaring his intention to run, Kurzajewski has still managed to take part in the Warsaw Half Marathon and has signed a contract for the podcast ‘In the Rhythm of Running’ with a company that sells footwear.

Kasia Cichopek’s partner trains and promotes

By the way, Kurzajewski took the opportunity to earn extra money and partnered with a catering company. In a recent photo on Instagram, he poses with a dumbbell in one hand and a bag with the logo of the company he is promoting. In accordance with the law, he has labelled the post as a “barter collaboration”. Despite his high-profile declaration in February, Kurzajewski is not returning to the subject of competing in the Ironman. Could it be that he is not taking the idea seriously?
