Maciej Musiałowski, an actor known for his role in 'Suicide Room. Hejter' and a talented musician, has been living in a castle in Domanice for over a year. Despite fulfilling his dream of owning an extraordinary house, living in such a huge estate has its challenges, which he talked about in a recent interview.

The dream of a castle: fulfilment, but also daily challenges

In 2023, Maciej Musiałowski announced on his social media that he had become the owner of the historic castle in Domanice, the purchase of which cost around PLN 2 million. Despite its impressive appearance and unique atmosphere, life in the castle is not always easy. In an interview with TVN, the actor revealed that one of the biggest challenges is heating the vast space.

Fortunately, we have fireplaces, working chimneys and a roof, and a wonderful Mrs Tereska, my beloved housekeeper, who warms my heart with her daily presence. But you have to walk between rooms wearing hats and a scarf,” admitted the actor.

No less demanding is the cleaning of the huge building, which would be almost impossible without help.

The castle as an artistic space

However, the castle in Domanice is not only a place of residence, but also a creative space. Musiałowski uses it as a backdrop for his artistic activities. The actor has initiated the United Arts Festival, which attracts artists from all over Poland. As a result, the castle becomes a cultural centre where art brings people together and the history of the building gains a new dimension.

Life in the castle – everyday life full of contrasts

Despite the challenges of living in such an unusual property, Musiałowski does not regret his decision. As he himself emphasises, the castle is not only a place to live, but also a space that inspires him to continue his creativity. Although it can sometimes be difficult, his passion for art and the support of his loved ones allow him to realise his dreams in a unique environment.
