However, with determination, she entered the studio to record new musical material that would reflect her artistic authenticity and passion. Despite her misgivings, Maja decided to take on the challenge of recording new material, hoping for a positive outcome.

All ok, I’m a bit sick. I have nodules on my larynx, I have to have them cut out, I’m a bit afraid I’m going to lose my voice. On the other hand, I’ve gone into the studio, I’m finally recording my dream material, which I haven’t done before because it’s always been so typical pop. Now it’s going to be soul and hopefully I’ll find an audience. A lot of people have written and told me that they miss me being so authentic, and this is going to be me – so authentic.

However, uncertainty about the future of her voice and the possible consequences of the surgery has pregnant the singer. She has contemplated the risks of the operation many times, while knowing that postponing the step could be even more devastating to her health. Sometimes it even comes out better after such an operation, because there are higher tones, there are more vocal possibilities, but there are also options that you lose that voice, so it’s a risk I have to take, and I’m afraid. So I’m thinking all the time whether to take the risk or not, but I also know that putting it off doesn’t do me any good at all it just gets worse and worse
