Maria Niklinska, known for her role in the cult TV series Clan, has surprised fans with her life-turn. Instead of pursuing an acting career, she has set her sights on music. Jolanta Fajkowska's daughter has taken on new challenges, gaining recognition as a talented singer. Discover what the star's life is like off-screen and why she chose a different path to her mother.

Debut on the glass screen and a brave decision

Maria Niklińska, daughter of the well-known presenter Jolanta Fajkowska, began her acting career at the age of just 13. Her debut took place in the production of `The Secret of Sagala’. Despite her success in the role of Agatha in `The Clan’, she decided to leave the series to find her place in another field. As she herself admitted in an interview with Vivy: ‘

When they said I looked like my mum, it built up aggression in me.

Maria Niklinska and her passion for music

After leaving acting, Maria Niklinska, set her sights on her passion for music. She gained recognition in the fifth edition of the programme `How They Sing’, demonstrating not only acting but also vocal ability. She released her first album Maria, and although she put her singing aside for a while, she returned in 2019 with the single This First and the music video for Between Us. Despite her artistic success, in her personal life she is still looking for her other half to share her passions and interests.

Challenges and family traumas

Although Maria Niklinska has gained popularity, she has not escaped difficulties in her personal life. The workaholism of her mother, Jolanta Fajkowska, has left a lasting mark on family relationships. The news presenter on `Telexpres’ tried to combine her role as a mother with that of a journalist, however, this was not always the easiest thing to do. Maria recounted in an interview with Vivy:

‘

My grandmother used to tell me that I would kiss the TV screen in the evening and ask my mother to be at work half the day and at home half the day.

Maria addressed her mother by her first name for many years. While still in high school, when she came of age, she decided to leave the family home and start an independent life. On her own initiative, she made efforts to find her biological father, which resulted in the unexpected acquisition of two sisters. After many years of complicated relationships, she managed to sort out her relationship with her mother. Their bond grew closer especially during the pandemic and lockdown period.

Recently, Maria Niklinska experienced a huge loss – the death of her grandfather, Jozef Fajkowski, was a painful farewell for her. On her social media, she wrote:

Today is my birthday, but my thoughts are with my beloved grandfather Jozef Fajkowski a.k.a

. “Krakus”.

“Krakus”. Grandpa passed away on 21 December just before Christmas. This is such a huge loss and pain for me. [He was the one who raised me and shaped me the most. Thank you that I was lucky enough to be close to such a special man. [Grandpa, I love you and miss you very much.
