Marieta Żukowska compares Polish and Italian film sets: “In Poland we work for TWO hours a day, in Italy a maximum of EIGHT.

Marieta Żukowska, known for her roles in popular Polish series, shared her experience of working on film sets in Poland and Italy. Having participated in a production of `Lemon Tree’ in Italy, the actress noted significant differences in the organisation of work. In an interview with Plejada, Żukowska said that the pace of work on Polish sets is extremely intense, where actors often work twelve hours a day and the number of scenes to be played in a single day is sometimes significantly higher than in countries such as Italy. Italian sets, according to the actress, are characterised by a more relaxed pace, where one works a maximum of eight hours a day, which gives more time to rest and prepare for the next scenes. Marieta Żukowska emphasised that she had the opportunity to experience Italian sets while participating in the production of Lemon Tree. She indicated that she enjoyed the friendliness of the film crew and experienced ´good energy´. The actress confessed that these differences had an impact on her professional outlook and that she appreciated the more relaxed nature of Italian productions.
