My man has a birthday today. The man with whom I greeted not one sunrise and its sunset, not one storm, not one downpour. We met years ago. He met me in a shop and from then on he asked his mother every day if she needed anything from the shop. Then our paths diverged for many years, until he finally wrote me when we were going for coffee, even though he doesn’t drink it himself, and so we pretended to drink it together for 10 years.

Monika also revealed that with her partner she saw the most beautiful stars and experienced the biggest craziness in her life:

You were the only one who could come to me in Masuria on a motorbike from Warsaw to give me a kiss, if only for a moment, and even the passing years didn’t change that. We have travelled the world together, lived hundreds of stories, and lived in Spain because we wanted to. Now it’s time for the rest of our dreams.
