In the spring of last year, Monika Olejnik heard the diagnosis of breast cancer, which was a huge shock to her. The journalist did not immediately reveal the details of her illness, but after the operation she decided to share this difficult news with the public.

One year later – positive news

One year after the operation, the journalist underwent further check-ups. The results were positive, which the journalist announced with joy on her social media profile.

Cancer is not a sentence. I’m after further check-ups, it’s ok – I’m happy at times like this,” she wrote. – she wrote.

She also added that she does not want to exactly count down the next anniversaries of this `nightmare situation’.

The diagnosis, i.e. cancer, was a shock for me. I did not give up, I fought and today I ask you very much. Get tested and don’t give up after tests! It can save our lives,” she appealed to her watchers.

Monika Olejnik stressed that the support from her family, friends and fans was of great importance in her recovery. She received more than 30,000 messages with well wishes and words of encouragement, which helped her in difficult moments.

A big thank you for the invitations to hundreds of meetings at fantastic venues and for more than 30,000 private messages, just in the first few days after surgery,” she wrote.

The journalist also pointed out that systematic physical training for more than 20 years has helped her through this difficult time.

Being active in sport teaches you a lot and it makes you stronger from the pain afterwards, she added.
