After his success in ‘Once upon a time in… Hollywood’, Rafał Zawierucha has become one of the hottest names in Polish cinema. Now he is preparing to take part in the 15th edition of “Dancing with the Stars”, but not everything went according to plan. Zawierucha almost didn’t make it to the presentation of Polsat’s autumn framework due to problems he encountered on his return from holiday.

Volcano, fires and drought – a holiday in Sicily full of drama

The actor went on holiday to Sicily, where he visited the famous town of Corleone. On Instagram, he bragged about the sights, but he also didn’t hide his worries about the difficult conditions he found there.

However, despite the beautiful views, the towns and the extremely family-oriented people – there is a big worry – drought and fires. This is consuming Sicily. That’s why you really need to pray for rain. Water is life, but also thanks to it – fires that destroy nature do not spread. Let us be sensitive to what kind of world we leave behind,” wrote Zawierucha.

As if that were not enough, during his stay, the Etna volcano erupted, adding to the tense atmosphere. In an interview with Fakt, the actor stressed that this was the fifth eruption this month.

Reflections upon his return

Despite all the adversities, Rafal Zawierucha does not lose his optimism and approaches his experiences with humour. His holiday was certainly full of excitement, but also reflections on how climate change is affecting the world we live in. In the near future, the actor will be seen on the dance floor of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Let’s hope the preparations for the programme are less dramatic than his recent holiday.
