Jolanta Arnal, a singer from the 1970s and 1980s, had a promising career ahead of her, which was cut short by a tragic accident. Despite her acquired popularity in the band Quo Vadis, fate presented her with challenges that she had to face.

After participating in music competitions, Arnal joined the band Ikersi, gaining nationwide popularity. Despite her success, she first decided to pursue a degree in Polish philology. In the 1970s, she joined the band Quo Vadis, where she led the way as a singer and songwriter.

Tragedy on the road to success

In 1980, tragedy interrupted Arnal’s career when a serious car accident forced the Quo Vadis band to quit. Jolanta Arnal suffered a fractured pelvis, which pushed her into the shadows for some time.

I was broken from waist to knee. I was living a nightmare. No one thought I would walk. I was the only one who firmly believed in it, and faith, as we all know, makes miracles.

Jolanta Arnal’s return to the stage After a few years’ break due to rehabilitation, Arnal returned to the music scene. She released a single with the band Krater and attempted a solo career. Her debut album `Jola Arnal’ was released in 1985, although it was not a major success.

Breakthrough Song for Children

Jolanta Arnal is best known for her song `Smerfetko, Smurfetko’, recorded in 1988 with her daughter Natalia. Although the artist’s career did not reach an earlier heyday, her influence on the Polish music scene has not been forgotten.
