Ella Balinska has gained popularity for her roles in films such as the new version of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘Resident Evil: Remedy’. She is currently gaining further experience on the big screen, and audiences can watch her in the new thriller ‘Marked’, which was directed by the creator of ‘Diary’. Her father is Kazimierz Baliński-Jundziłł coat of arms Jastrzębiec. He is a Polish entrepreneur and musician who has raised only one child. Ella’s mother, on the other hand, is the well-known model and TV personality Lorraine Pascale.

Ella Balinska on her Polish roots

In a bid to get closer to her Polish fans, the actress gave an interview to Zwierciadło magazine. In the interview, she emphasised how important her multicultural identity is to her.

I had a wonderful childhood with parents of different ethnic backgrounds. There is something beautiful in that, getting to know two almost completely different cultures – Balinska confessed.

She added that although her family’s aristocratic background does not currently play a major role in her life, she is fascinated by the history of her ancestors.

I think this aristocratic aspect is something that has obviously been passed down to us from generation to generation, but it doesn’t really play a major role in our lives anymore. I know that we had to leave Poland quite quickly, so much for our history. But rediscovering it is really fascinating. Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time going through the archives and step by step putting together the story of my family, where we came from and who we are – the actress said enthusiastically.

In an interview for Zwierciadło, Balinska also talked about the hardships of working in the American film industry. She admitted that her career was put to the test by unforeseen events, such as a pandemic or actors’ strikes.

I think the hardest things were things that you just can’t control. Nobody predicted what happened in 2020. We also had a huge strike in Hollywood not too long ago, but now you can see some progress and feel that an important discussion has started. There are still issues that need to be changed, but things are getting better. I think the industry is slowly getting back to a normal pace, which is great, you can see that with the release of this film. We shot it in December 2022, and it’s only now, in 2025, that it’s finally coming to audiences – said the actress.
