Skolim tried his hand at acting

For several years now, Skolim has enjoyed immense popularity and a string of hits that have racked up millions of views. His path to the top, however, was by no means straightforward. Before music became the most important part of his professional life, the artist tried his hand at acting and also decided to go to university.

Konrad Skolimowski graduated from the Maria Skłodowska-Curie High School No. XXIII in Warsaw. From a young age, he appeared on camera and had roles in television productions, including the series *Barwy szczęścia*. After his A-levels, he decided to pursue a career in this field and began studying at the Halina and Jan Machulski Acting School.

Acting, however, was not Skolim’s only idea for his professional future. During the same period, he also decided to pursue studies in a completely different field.

Skolim also began studying international relations

Skolim undertook a degree in international relations at the National Defence Academy. This meant that, for a time, he combined developing his interest in acting with his education in politics and international relations.

However, he did not ultimately see either of these paths through to the end. As his musical career began to take off in earnest, he decided to focus on his stage work. This does not mean, however, that he considers the time spent at university to have been wasted.

Skolim did not complete his degree, but he values the knowledge he gained

In an interview on the programme “Pytanie na śniadanie”, Skolim emphasised that his university studies had been a valuable experience for him. Among other things, he highlighted the broadening of his knowledge, the expansion of his vocabulary, the greater number of books he had read, as well as the discipline and the awakening of his curiosity about the world. Ultimately, however, he decided to put his studies on hold.

This decision coincided with the increasingly rapid development of his musical career. Today, Skolim is primarily associated with songs such as “Wyglądasz idealnie”, “Daj mi jedno słowo” and “Temperatura”. Interestingly, before he achieved widespread popularity, he also tried his hand at the programme “Disco Star”. At the time, he failed to impress the judges, but years later he himself took a seat on the judging panel of the same programme.
